The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) intends to procure the following AN/TPX-54(V) Interrogator Set, for test and evaluation purposes, in support of Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIRSYSCOM) current mission requirements. The Government intends to procure one (1) overall unit, comprised of multiple sub-units (i.e. part numbers) as listed in detail below. Solicitation Number N00421-96-R-1147 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The incorporated document and provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-37 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-10. This action is not set-aside for small business. The standard industrial classification number is 3699 and the small business size standard is 750 employees. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate the proposed contract on a SOLE SOURCE BASIS with Hazeltine Corporation under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Hazeltine Corporation is the sole qualified supplier of this equipment at the present time. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties may submit a proposal in which they identify their interest and capability. All proposals received within 20 days of this notice will be considered by the Government solely for the purpose of determining whether to initiate a competitive procurement. The Government reserves the right to process the procurement on a sole source basis based upon the responses received. The Government will not pay for any information received.
