NSN 7030 - The Air Force intends to purchase software and services to be procured using other than full and open competition procedures to support information management functions for the HQ AFMC Directorate of Science and Technology (HQ AFMC/ST), specifically as such functions are facilitated by the Interactive Decision Support System (IDSS), Independent Research and Development (IR&D) databases, and related information technologies integrated through the ST Information Management System (STIMS). A contract shall be issued to Strategic Analysis, Inc., Suite 175, 4001 N. Fairfax Dr., Arlington, VA 22203. The period of performance is 01 Oct 96 - 30 Sep 01. This is a one year baseline contract with four option years. Interested sources must identify their interest and capabilities. This is to include all literature, catalogs, and pricing. All responses received from responsible sources on or before 15 days from this publication will be fully considered. No telephone or electronic mail requests will be accepted. Only written or faxed requests received directly from the requestor are acceptable. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Air Force not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Air Force. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No award will be made solely on basis of responses received. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis of intent, the contracting officer may determine that a solicitation will be issued to the intended schedule vendor and all firms that respond to this synopsis of intent, or otherwise request a copy of the solicitation.
