FAX965-9560 The Social Security Administration is attempting to
identify vendors that can provide maintenance service for
Government-owned SSANET modems and associated peripherals located
nationwide. SSA has approximately 4,000 pieces of equipment which
consist of 42-AMM/Modems; 96SP+RMC/Modems; CS90DM/Multiplexor;
OMNIMUX4/Multiplexor;Printer 500/Printer; 2040/Central Processing Unit;
2400/Transmission LineMonitor; 3101/Color Display; 3703/Network
Processor;3709/Network Processor; 70 E VF/Patch Panel and 90
DMM/Multiplexor. This equipment is located at the National Computer
Center (NCC) in Baltimore, Maryland, and at the SSANET nodal sites in
Jamaica, NY, Birmingham, AL; Philadelphia, PA; Chicago IL; Kansas City,
MI; Richmond, CA; and all SSA field and district offices. Firms having
the capability to provide the required maintenance service are invited
to submit complete details. The responses must clearly state the
ability to provide the necessary maintenance services required for the
above stated equipment within 30 days of receipt of award. Interested
parties must respond to this notice within 15 calendar days from the
date of this publication to the above address and to the attention of
Patricia H. Drew. Respondents should refer to Synopsis Number PHD0701.
