Synopsis Number A-27--Sale of marked pine and unmarked sweetgum trees in Record Units 30, 41, and 42 (units total approximately 350 acres) on East Reservation, Barksdale AFB LA 71110. There are approximately 6,695 Pine sawtimber trees containing an estimated 1,445,582 board feet International Scale or 969,342 board feet Doyle Scale (Form Class 80), and 7,945 pine pulpwood trees containing an estimated 348 cords. There are also approximately 655 Sweetgum sawtimber containing an estimated 116,400 board feet International Scale or 77,200 board feet Doyle Scale (Form Class 80) and 2,062 Sweetgum sawtimber trees containing an estimated 194 cords. Cutting to begin no later than 180 days after award with 365 days to complete removal after contract is awarded. Timber harvesting will not be allowed during the 14-day annual gun deer hunting season for Barksdale Air Force Base. Anticipated issue date is 30 July 1996, anticipated opening date 29 August 1996.
