Technology plans to award a contract in Livingston, Louisiana in
support of the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave (LIGO) Project.
The contract will consist of the following: Item 1: Placing of a
concrete slab, approximately 8 inches thick, 14 feet wide and five
miles long. The slab elevations will be held to close tolerances. 2:
Manufacture and delivery to the site precast concrete enclosures that
will fit on the concrete slab. The enclosures will be approximately 6
inches thick, 14 feet wide and 10 feet long, and of a parabolic shape.
There will be approximately 2,600 sections to be delivered to the
site. 3: Construct a 20-feet wide, approximately 5 miles long multiple
bituminous surface treatment service road. 4: If a bid package is
