is corrected as follows: The work includes: Installation of a
replacement Nurse Call System for building 10 floors 3 through 7, areas
G,H, and J and other areas as indicated in this specification and on
drawings; Installation of a replacement Nurse Call System with a
minimum one-for-one functional unit replacement of the existing Nurse
Call System; provision of new corridor zone lights; and replacement of
and provision of additonal code blue signal lights; Furnishing and
Installation of a replacement Nurse Call System using all new
components and wiring, but using existing raceway and conduit system;
Furnish and Install a new Nurse Call System for wing 7 West. (The
previous system was removed during renovations, but the conduits and
back boxes remain.) This system to include tamperproof equipment and
fasteners for psychiatric area; Furnish and install replacement, wall
mounted, up/down headwall lighting fixtures with 4-way pull-switches,
at the head of each patient bed location; Furnish and install 11 new
broad-band antenna signal distribution amplifiers and dispose of the
existing antenna signal amplifiers. Replace all antenna system
distribution wiring from the new distribution amplifiers to the patient
room power supplies and from room TV power supplies to room TV outlets.
Furnish 200 New color television sets with adjustable arms to fit the
existing Bunting TV mounts which are to remain. Dispose of the removed
nurse call equipment, wiring, antenna signal distribution wiring,
light fixtures, and up to 175 older TV sets, as directed by the
contracting officer and provide all required interface equipment and
related work. This will be a negotiated source selection procurement,
requiring offerors to submit price and technical proposals. Evaluation
factors to be addressed in technical proposals are: Technical
Approach; Experience/Past Performance; and Staffing. Technical Approach
will be considered more important than Experience/Past Performance,
which will be considered more important than Staffing. Within Technical
Approach, the quality of the proposed sytem, within which User
Friendliness is considered more important than Maintainability, will be
considered more important than the Installation Scheduling. And, within
Staffing, Key personnel is considered more important than
Subcontractors. The Bid Opening Date is 8 AUG 96. The availability date
for requesting plans and specs is 8 JUL 96. All other information is
