Columbia, Maryland 21045-0701 Z -- INDEFINITE QUANTITY CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTS FOR THE SOUTH JERSEY
DISTRICT WITH MINOR ASBESTOS REMOVAL SOL 232098-96-A-0198 DUE 070896.
The United States Postal Service is seeking proposals from qualified
contractors for an indefinite quantity construction contract in the
states of New Jersey and Delaware. The contractor must be licensed to
remove 3 square/linear feet or less of friable ACBM. No preproposal
conference is scheduled since projects are throughout the area. The
work to be performed under this contract is to be coordinated through
the work order process. At the discretion of the Contracting Officer,
one or more contracts may be awarded. Contractors must have a minimum
of two (2) years experience as of the issue date of this solicitation.
Contractors must also possess the capabilities of working at least
four (4) jobs at the same time. Specific work order(s) will be issued
by the Contracting Officer in accordance with the Unit Price Schedule
and Specifications. Work Orders will be issued totaling not more than
$250,000 during the two (2) year period of the contract. The initial
limit of $250,000.00 may be increased by modification as agreed upon by
the Contractor and the Contracting Officer up to a maximum of
$1,000,000.00. The Postal Service guarantees a minimum of $10,000.00 of
construction work order(s). Offerors are required to submit one (1)
multiplier to be applied to the various Unit Prices established in the
Unit Price Schedule. The multiplier must contain the Offeror's
overhead, profit, bonds, insurance and all other contingencies. No
allowances for such items will be made after contract award. Award will
be based on proposal considered most advantageous to the United States
Postal Service. Proposal Packages will be available on or about June
26, 1996 at a cost of $40.00 per set (non-refundable). Make check or
money order payable to the United States Postal Service, referencing
Solicitation #232098-96-A-0198. PLEASE NOTE: OFFERS WILL NOT BE
PUBLICLY OPENED. The number of offers received, the identify of the
offerors, the amount of any offer, or relative standing of the offers
WILL NOT BE DISCLOSED TO ANYONE until after award of contract is made.
The U. S. Postal Service reserves the right to reject any or all
