The Institute intends to purchase laboratory equipment By Other Than Full And Open Competition from B Braun Biotech., they are recommended as the sole source for the Purchase Order. The intended source B Braun Biotech. Inc., the exclusive distrubutor of the Basic Unit Biostat Q for the Mid-Atlantic Region. The Basic Unit Biostat Q is used for establishing optimal growth conditions of microganisms, as well as for optimal productions parameters for variaous products form them. The established conditions wil be used for obtaining the needed products in pilot size fermentors (50-300 liters). The operation in the above way will ensure efficient productions and will reduce the expensive piolt scale production runs. The physical dimensions of the requested unit are 31'' High 21'' Wide and 30'' Deep. In this space the unit contains four 1 liters vessels with independent temperature control agitation control ph control and dissolved oxygen control.
