This Solicitation will be issued on an indefinite quantity basis and is being procured under the authority of 10 USC 2304(C)(3) and restricted to planned producers only. Sixty-five percent (65%) of the total requirements will be set-aside for small business concerns and thirty-five percent (35%) will be unrestricted. These Boots have been determined to be Military unique and the Solicitation will not be purchased under the provisions of FAR part 12. The quantities to be purchased and applicable specifications dated 29 DEC 95 are as follows: Fnse/PD 95-12 boot, combat min: 416,448/ max: 624,672 fnse/PD 95-14 boot, hw Black min: 226,906/ max: 340,358 fnse/PD 95-14 boot, desert, tan min: 59,866/ max: 89,798 there will be four, one year option terms included with the same minimum/maximum quantities as cited above. Under this Solicitation, we will also procure an additional quantity of 205,237 pair of boot, desert, tan to be delivered during the first year of the contract with NO option for additional quantity of this pwr requirement. Anticipated Solicitation issuance date is O/a 05 Aug 96. A pre-proposal conference will beheld. The Solicitation will include best value provisions and based upon an integrated assessment of technical merit and price It is our intent to make four awards to planned producers using the followingpercentages based upon best value determination:35%/25%/20%/20%.
