J -- MAINTENANCE, REPAIR AND REBUILDING OF AN/BPS-15F/G RADAR EQUIPMENT SOL N00024-96-R-5240 POC G. Michael Dodd (02522), Contracting Officer, (703) 602-7904. The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to extend the ordering period of Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00024-94-G-5625 with COMSAT/RSI, Electro Mechanical Systems, 6200 118th Avenue N., Largo, Florida 34643 for one (1) year. Orders will be issued on mulitiple occasions over the period of this one (1) year BOA extension for repair, alterations, overhaul, refurbishment and maintenance of the AN/BPS-15F/G Radar. This includes all materials and services incidental to such work, such as repair parts; components; accessories; documentation; associated tools; necessary packing, packaging and marking; storage; inventory functions or shipping and handling. Orders may cover the opening and inspection of equipment by the Contractor to determine the extent of repair, alteration or overhaul work necessary. Such work shall also include installation of Field Change Kits or other modifications. Orders will be issued pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). COMSAT/RSI is the sole producer of the AN/BPS-15F/G Radar. It is the only company which possesses the knowledge, experience, tooling and equipment necessary to perform the tasks described. No other source has the technical qualifications and the necessary resources to perform the work described herein, nor will any other supplies or services satisfy the Navy's requirements.
