Beach erosion control project, Atlantic coast of New Jersey, Section I - Sea Bright to Ocean Township, Reach 2, Long Branch, Monmouth County, New Jersey. The work consists of the following: 1) Hydraulic placement of sand fill along approximately 17,350 feet of beach. The source of sand will be from an ocean borrow area located approximately 1.3 miles offshore, 2) Estension of six (6) existing outfall pipes on timber pile supports, 3) Notching of eight (8) existing stone groins and 4) Construction of four (4) storm discharge structures. The magnitude of the project is approximately $25,000,000 to $50,000,000. Duration of the project is yet to be determined. This solicitation is UNRESTRICTED. The SIC code for this project is 1629. Plans and specifications will be available on or about 11 July 1996, with a bid opening date on or about 13 August 1996 at 1100 hours.
