This directorate intends to issue Invitation for Bid (IFB) F29650-96-B0021 on or about 30 Jul 96 with bids due approximately thirty (30) days thereafter. This directorate intends to procure this project as a competitive buy under the 8(a) Program and is restricted to 8(a) firms serviced by the Albuquerque District Office only. All other firms are ineligible to submit bids. 8(a) firms interested in this IFB must have a primary Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code of 1542 with a size standard of $17.0M. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00 for a basic one-year and two one-year option performance periods. In general the work includes the removal of existing evaporative coolers, built up roofs, damaged decking, roof joists and fascia, installation of new roof trusses, structural members, plywood decking, new 30-year shingles, two-way clean outs for the sewer in the yard adjacent to the house, and reestablishing existing lawns, and the reinstallation of evaporative coolers and ductwork. Please note that funds are not presently available, however, they have been requested. This IFB is based upon your understanding that (1) funds are not available and (2) if funds do not become available no obligation will be incurred by the Government because of this IFB.
