The work of this project consists of the resetting of the entrance steps and appurtenances; temporary protection of existing interior stone fabric; removal and replacement of planting material and soil; selective demolition; temporary soil removal and shoring; removal and disposal of contaminated soil; re-setting existing stone elements and providing new stone; demolition and removal of sidewalks; new site lighting; concrete repair; new site paving; and new construction or renovation for the support facilities including rest rooms, storage spaces, exhibit space, gift shop, and bookstore on the lower level, classroom, resource center, training room, ranger break room and rest room of the mezzanine level, visitor contract station and west elevator lobby at the portico level; and also included is providing temporary accessible restroom, gift shop and bookstore facilities. A non-refundable bid deposit for project documents is $250 per set, 3 set maximum, in the form of a cashier's check, certified check, or money order made payable to the National Park Service. Project Documents may also be viewed at various plan rooms. Individuals wishing to receive a list of plan rooms should contact the issuing office. Estimated price range, $2,500,000 to $5,000,000.
