Tbe Air Force intends to issue a full and open competitive request for quotations to provide all labor, material, equipment, tools, and transportation for the removal and replacement of walls, ceilings, and electrical in Building No. 1120 located on Hanscom AFB, Bedford, MA. Principal items of work include but are not limited to removing of approximately 60 feet of 2 in. by 4 in. (2''X4'') studded sheet rocked walls, a prefabricated sound room, double doors, exterior masonry for windows and the total rewiring of the area to include a Class ''A'' alarm system. It also includes the erection of new walls, suspended ceilings, furring of walls and painting throughout the area. A firm fixed price purchase order is planned with and expected period of performance of 21 calendar days and a start date in August 1996. Magnitude of construction is between $25,000 and $100,000. All interested organizations should respond in writing within 15 days of this notice. A site visit is tentatively scheduled to be on 25 July 96 and quotes are tentatively due on 2 August 96. Contractor will complete the work in accordance with the Statement of Work available from Hanscom AFB Construction Contracting.
