Work includes removal and obliteration of sidewalks and retaining walls damaged by flooding at Beggich-Boggs Visitor Center. Construction of sidewalks and stairs, riprap of slopes and stream bank, repair of eroded stream bank. Work also includes removal and disposal of existing bridge and construction of a low-water crossing at Williwaw spawning channel. There will be a pre-bid meeting at the project site. Date and time will be stated in the solicitation package. Contract time is 270 days with an anticipated start work date in September, 1996. Project is located at approximately mile 5 of the Portage Highway. Portage Highway intersects the Seward Highway approximately 45 miles south of Anchorage, Alaska.
