The Defense Information Systems Agency's (DISA) Joint Interoperability and Engineering Organization (JIEO) Center for Standards has developed an interface standard for multiplexers. This draft standard, MIL-STD-188-168, Interoperability and Performance Standards for SHF Satellite Communications Multiplexers and Demultiplexers, defines the minimum requirements for certifying multiplexers and demultiplexers for use by the Department of Defense (DOD). Government and industry organizations having an interest in this standard are invited to participate in the review process.
