66 -- RETROFIT CONTROLLER AND MEASUREMENT SOFTWARE PACKAGE SOL 52SBNB6C9209 DUE 082696 POC Marsha Rodgers (301)975-6398 The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement for supply and installation of a Retrofit Quindos-based Controller and Measurement Software Package for a Moore M48 Coordinate Measuring Machine. The system shall consist of a coordinate measuring machine (CMM) controller, host computer, operating system and measurement software which is identical to a fully functional Quindos measurement system and is fully compatible with and interfaced to an existing Moore M48 ultra high accuracy CMM system. Quindos software is a commercial software package available from Leitz, Incorporated. The vendor shall supply a fully operational turnkey latest-version Quindos operations, measurement, and analysis system (including media, licenses, two full sets of documentation, and training) that is suitable for an ultra-high accuracy (less than 25 nm resolution) CMM. The retrofit controller and software shall be completely compatible with existing Moore 48 systems, including Hewlett-Packard laser, Movomatic Tridim probe, motors, tachometers, limit switches, etc. Offerors reponding to this solicitation shall provide documented evidence of at least one successful retrofit of a Moore M48 CMM to a fully functional Quindos-based operations, measurement and analysis system. The control system and measurement software shall incorporate a full 21 parameter kinematic error correction model. The probing software shall include a calibration procedure to compensate for probe geometric errors and probe pin deflection.--F.O.B.
