Defense Mapping Agency intends to award on a sole source basis with Intergraph the following disk drives and tape drives: sixty-three DSK444 2.0 GB Disk Drives and three DMTP147 8mm Exebyte tape drives. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document exists and requests for a solicitation will be disregarded. However, all responses from responsible sources which are received by 12:00 P.M. 31 July 1996 will be fully considered. All responsible sources are encouraged to respond. Only written responses will receive consideration. Responses must convey clear and convincing documentation of advantages to the Government to consider another source. The documentation shall include prices, GSA Contract Number (if applicable) and descriptive literature containing sufficient technical documentation to establish a bona fide capability of the proposed equipment. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis of intent, the contracting officer may determine that a solicitation will be issued. If a solicitation is issued, no additional synopsis will be published. Any such solicitation will be issued to all firms that respond to this synopsis of intent or otherwise request a copy of the solicitation.
