In accordance with FAR 6.302-1, the Health Care Financing Administrtation's Office of Research and Demonstrations intends to negotiate a contract modification with Research Triangle Institute. This modification will allow for an increased level of effort for activities related to information needs for consumer choice. Because of the extensive revisions being made, a second round of cognitive testing on three types of consumer information materials is needed, in addition, revision of three sets of written prototype materials for the Medicare and Medicaid populations based on these cognitive testing results is also required.
