S -- JANITORIAL SERVICES AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS WITHIN SANTA MONICA MOUNTAINS NRA, LOS ANGELES AND VENTURA COUNTIES, CA Sol 1443IB8540-96-001, Due 081596, contact Bonnie J. Harris, 818/597-1036, Contract Specialist. Services shall consist of a full range of janitorial duties at approximately 15 specified locations within Santa Monica Mountains NRA. Duties include, but are not limited to the following: dusting; mopping; vacuuming; emptying trash receptacles, both in buildings and at collection areas along park trails and campgrounds; cleaning of windows, kitchens, and display cases; and cleaning and sanitizing o employee and public restroom facilities. All cleaning equipment, materials, and supplies shall be maintained and provided by the contractor. Typical supplies required include, but are not limited to: toilet tissue; paper towels; disinfectants; hand soap; cleaning compounds; rug shampoo; detergents; plastic garbage bags and liners; deodorant cakes; vacuum cleaners; floor scrubbers; brooms; light bulbs; extension cords; and disposable gloves. The contractor will be responsible for routine minor maintenance such as snaking toilets and sinks and changing light bulbs. Work will be performed in accordance with an approved schedule identifying areas, tasks, and task frequency ranging from once per month to 7 days per week, as applicable. The resulting contract is intended for a 12 month period with options to renew 4 additional years. The bid due date is approximate and will be 30 days after issuance of bid documents.
