LUCAS, CONTRACTING OFFICER, (907) 384-7105, OR FACSIMILE (907) 384-7112 (Site Code DAHC76) The contractor shall furnish all personnel, management, and transportation equipment necessary to perform On-Post Shuttle Bus Service for Fort Wainwright, Alaska. Bus services shall be provided between the hours of 0800 and 1900 hours (8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.), Monday through Saturday. No scheduled bus service shall be performed on Sundays and Federal Legal Holidays. One round trip shall be made each hour. The estimated round trip mileage is 18 miles. The minimum acceptable equipment shall be an intra-city type coach with a minimum passenger capacity of 32. The intra- city type coach shall have a minimum of two (2) child restraint and other devices that satisfy the Motor Vehicle Laws of the State of Alaska and the requirements of Chapter 39, Army Regulation 55.355. No shuttle bus shall be more than six (6) years old at the start of the contract. The base period of performance is from 1 October 1996, or date of contract award, whichever is later, through 30 September 1997, with two (2) consecutive one-year options that the Government may exercise in accordance with the terms of the contract. This requirement is 100% set-aside for Small Business. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code applicable to this requirement is 4111, the size standard for which is 5 million dollars. See Numbered Note 1. The solicitation and resulting contract will also include FAR Clause 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services, which permits the Government to extend performance for up to six (6) months within the limits and at the rates specified in the contract.
