The Government's obligation under this contract is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment for contract purposes can be made. No legal liability on the part of the government for any payment may arise until funds are made available to the Contracting Officer for this contract and until the Contractor receives notice of such availability, to be confirmed in writing by the Contracting Officer. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, material and equipment for interior demolition of all existing features back to but not including wall studs, floor sheathing and ceiling/roof joists. The work includes abatement removal and disposal of asbestos wall panels, asbestos floor tiles and surfaces painted with lead contaminated paint. The work also includes installation of new mechanical and electrical systems. Estimated price range: Between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Number of days in contract: 120. Number of bid items: One with unit price schedule. The base bid shall be Quarters X1 and X2. Option 1 shall be Quarters Y1 and Y2. SIC Code 1521, General Contractors, $17.0 Million.
