331-3687 Provide all labor, material, equipment, supervision necessary
to construct fire cache at the Congaree Swamp National Monument. It
would consist of a 50 foot by 40 foot pole type building set on a
concrete slab with a metal insulated roof and insulated wood siding.
The basic frame of the building would utilize treated southern yellow
pine posts on a 10 foot spacing and 14 foot elevation, pre-engineered
clear span and scissor trusses nailed and bolted to posts, steel
roofing galvanized underneath with polyester finish paint coatings and
vinyl backed insulation. Building would be on concrete slab of 4
inches nominal thickness throughout office, cache supply, kitchen, bath
and storage areas; and 6 inches nominal thickness throughout the
maintenance and storage bay area. The slab would be connected to an
existing 12 foot by 30 foot concrete pad with nominal thickness of 6''
to be used an entrance drive to maintenance and storage bay.
Twenty-five sets of plans and specifications will be available at no
cost, any request after shall require a $20.00 non-refundable check or
money order made payable to National Park Service. Plans and
specifications will be available o/a 7/24/96. Bids will be solicited on
unrestricted basis. Magnitude of Project, between $25,000 and $100,000.
