Z -- CONVERT FACILITY #2630 TO CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER SOL F10603-96-B0019. Due 082296. POC Sgt Lori Landry, Contract Buyer, 208-828-2664/William W Oakland, Contracting Officer, 208-828-2664. The contractor shall furnish all plant, labor, supplies, equipment and supervision necessary to convert facility #2630 from retail store (shopette) configuration to a new layout to accommodate usage as a preschool, day care and child development center. The work will consist of but not limited to: remove various walls, suspended ceiling, walk-in cooler, shelves, check out counters, railing, food display cases, set of double doors (replace with new window); provide various modifications to fire protection system; provide fire detection for the renovated areas; upgrade HVAC (high temp hot water heating converted to natural gas); install five restrooms with children size fixtures including ADA requirements; upgrade all room finishes to include carpet over 2/3 of classroom floor areas, new suspended ceiling with lights and paint walls, possibly an accent wall with wall covering; install new exterior doors with panic hardware and safety glass and wide enough to accommodate infant cribs in case of an emergency; install new safety glass windows at a height for small children to look out and as indicated on the attached floor plan; provide PA system between the classrooms; provide a new staff break area and food prep/kitchen area; provide a new exit door on west wall and new sidewalk connected to existing Child Development Center facility #2623; provide outdoor playground equipment and enclose area with chain link fence and access gate. This work will be located at Mountain Home AFB, Idaho. The total performance period for this project will be 120 days. The magnitude of this project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00.
