The work includes the elimination of hazardous materials with the removal of asbestos in the ''popcorn'' ceiling texture and base mold mastic in 96 rooms. Concrete block walls shall be furred and covered with gypsum board, replace metal entry doors and locksets, install carpet, remodel bathrooms, additional lighting, repainting doors, walls and ceilings and incidental related work. The work shall be located at Building 2102, Subase Bangor, Silverdale, Washington. During performance of this work, asbestos, hazardous waste, or pollution abatement may be encountered. Plans and specifications will be available on or about 01AUG96 at no charge until supply is exhausted. Contract completion time is 365 calendar days. Estimated cost range is between $1-5 million.
