Revitalize Maintenance Hangar, HTUX 96-0003, at the 440th Airlift Wing, General Mitchell International Airport, Milwaukee WI 53207-6299. Project consists of the renovation of the interior of an aircraft hangar. Specifically, metal enclosures are to be build to cover exterior stairwells, existing restrooms are to be build to cover exterior stairwells, existing restrooms are to be demolished and replaced, the hangar floor is to be coated, air conditions is to be added to various areas, new fluorescent lighting is to be installed, miscellaneous electrical communication and plumbing area to be augmented or replaced. New office and shop areas are to be re-arranged. Relocation hook-up and anchoring of existing metal working tools and equipment Estimated construction magnitude $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Performance time will be 130 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. IFB will be issued on or about 25 July 96. This procurement is being solicited in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Statutory limitations are not applicable to this project. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 1542. The related small business standard applicable to this construction project is $17 million average annual receipts from the preceding three years. Due to voluminous sizes of bid package, distribution in accordance with FAR 5.102 is impractical. Bid packages will be issued on a first come first serve basis to prime contractors only.
