Work consists of the following: (1) Remove existing hot water heating boilers, hot water piping chilled water pumps, and replace with a rapid response, high efficiency boilers, piping, appurtenances, and a stand along control panel from the boilers and hot water circulation pumps, with connections to the existing direct digital control system panel. (2) Demolish existing fire alarm control panels, heat detectors, manual stations, alarm devices, and electrical equipment. Furnish and install a new fire alarm detection system. Modify HVAC controls for air handler shutdown. (3) Furnish and install new suspended accessible acoustical tile T-bar ceilings. Insulate the roof. Furnish and install new fire protection sprinklers and piping system. Furnish and install new HVAC supply diffusers and return air registers, and grilles. Furnish and install new lighting fixtures, switches, and emergency lighting units. Furnish and install new public address system and smoke detectors. The magnitude of this proposed acquisition is $500,000 to $1M and will be solicitated under Standard Industrial Classification Code 1542. A $100.00 non refundable deposit via certified check or money order is required for each solicitation package requested. All checks should be made payable to FSO-Vandenberg AFB. This project will be solicitated on an unrestricted basis IAW PL 102-366. Interested bidders must submit a written request no later than 22 July 1996.
