Construct Covered Outside Storage, HTUX 93-0009, 440th Airlift Wing, General Mitchell International Airport, Milwaukee WI 53207-6299. Project consists of construction of a 50' x 100' permanent, prefabricated, metal structure to shelter an existing outdoor storage area which has a concrete slab floor surrounded by a 6 ft high chain link fence. The shelter will have a prefinished Kynar type slope roof with transparent panels for daylighting. The shelter will have some fluorescent lighting but no walls and the steel columns supporting roof will be exposed. Estimated construction magnitude $100,000 to $250,000. Performance time will be 120 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. IFB will be issued on or about 25 Jul 96. This procurement is being solicited in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Statutory limitations are not applicable to this project. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 1542. The related small business standard applicable to this construction project is $17 million average annual receipts from the preceding three years. Bid packages will be issued on a first come first serve basis to prime contractors only. One package per prime contractor. Telephone requests will not be honored.
