Work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, materials, and supervision necessary to complete a construction project to Repair Life Support Facility, Building 709, at McChord AFB, Washington. Work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1) Miscellaneous demolition work including asbestos and lead based paint removal; 2) Interior work including replacement of doors, new walls, floors, and ceiling finishes; 3) Exterior work including new canopies at east side of building, new roof and exterior lighting; 4) Mechanical work including new plumbing fixtures, conversion of existing propane heating system to electric heating, and miscellaneous wiring and lighting. The magnitude of construction is between $250,000 and $500,000. solicitation is expected to issue on or about 23 July 96, with a bid opening date projected to be 22 August 96. This solicitation is unrestricted. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 1542 with an average gross revenue of $17 million for the last three fiscal years. There is a $37.00 non-refundable charge for each bid set. Payment is in the form of a company check, certified cashier's check, or U.S. Postal Money Order made payable to the ``Department of the Air Force'' must accompany each request.
