The INS is contemplating conducting a competitive acquisition under a firm fixed price multiple year contract for the following personal protective equipment -- (1) Ear protection: Ear Plugs and Muffs; (2) Goggles and Glasses: Chemical Safety Goggles, Impact Safety Goggles/Visors/Glasses, Tinted Goggles, Glasses and Shields and Sun Glasses; (3) Helmets: Welders Helmets; (4) Shoes and Boots: Safety Shoes and Boots, Wadding Boots, Shoe Covers, Cold Weather Boots, and Galoshes; (5) Sunscreen; (6) Insect Repellent; (7) Breathing Apparatus: Half Face, Full Face and Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus; (8) Respirator Cartridges: Organic Vapor, Acid Gases, Ammonia Gas, Radioactive Materials, Dust Fumes, Mists, and miscellaneous other Vapors/Gases-type Respirator Cartridges; (9) Life Vests and Reflective Tape for flotation devices; and (10) Gloves: Frisker, Latex, Chemical, Slash Resistant, Cold Weather and Flame Resistant Gauntlets. If an acquisition is conducted, a solicitation will be released for these items and advertised in the CBD prior to issuance. The Government intends to award preferably only ONE contract for the required equipment and is attempting to identify sources who can supply ALL the required items. NO SOLICITATION FOR THIS REQUIREMENT CURRENTLY EXISTS, NOR DOES THE GOVERNMENT HAVE ANY ADDITIONAL DETAILS AVAILABLE TO DESCRIBE ITS REQUIREMENTS AT THE PRESENT TIME. The Government does not have a timeframe for solicitation issuance. Interested offerors shall submit technical information only at this time.
