70 -- INTERACTIVE DATA ACQUISITION AND CONTROL SYSTEM FOR AN AMMONIA REFRIGERATION SYSTEM SOL DACW33-96-R-0014 DUE 082296 POC Jerry Nunziato, 617-647-8424 Furnish, deliver and install an interactive data acquisition and control system including debugging in-place function testing, three (3) copies of all operator manuals, wiring diagrams with wire and screw terminal numbers documentation on system architecture, system flow charts, documentation on ladder logic programs, and forty (40) hours of training for personnel. The objective of this system is to improve the operation of the U. S. Army Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory's refrigeration plant and to document the freezing enviornment within the cold rooms. Monitoring system performance in real time shall provide feedback to the control system, enabling real-time adjustments to operating parameters. This closed-loop approach shall allow optimization of facility operation from the research standpoint as well as from the energy consumption standpoint.
