Contracting Officer, 202-707-8610. The Library of Congress is in the
process of constructing a Visitors' Center in the newly restored Thomas
Jefferson Building on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. The Library is
soliciting proposals to provide and install audio visual equipment as
specified in the design plan for the Visitors' Theater. Specified
equipment includes a projection screen (Draper Clarion); an LED caption
display model DLR 4020; a video projector (Ampro 7100HD or equal with
associated ceiling mount hardware); a laserdisc player or other source
(specifications to be determined); speakers EAW M563 or JBL Control
10, or equal); a mixer (Biamp SPM 522D, TOA M1264, or equal);
Amplifiers (Ashly FTX-1001, Crown PB-1, or equal); equalizers (Ashly
MQX2310, Rane ME60 or equal); and equipment racks (Soundolier 900-19 or
equal). Control system (AMX, CRESTROON or equal) will also be required
to automatically turn the system on and off at preset show times.
Target date for installation is January 1997. Complete equipment
specifications and architectural drawings will be included in the
solicitation which will be available on or about July 16, 1996. A
Pre-Proposal Conference will be held on July 31, 1996 at the Library of
Congress, Thomas Jefferson Building, Washington, D.C. Please call April
