Carter, 907/753-2551 Description of work to be performed: The project will retrofit oil water separator vaults in 9 locations, replace existing pits in 2 locations, and provide new oil water separator systems in 5 locations on Fort Wainwright, Alaska. The units will all require a pumping system with the exception of the wash rack oil water separator. The contractor will be required to verify the existing conditions of the building and site. Submit proposed construction plans for approval. Clean existing building floor drain system throughout buildings including trench drain, waste line, and sand traps. Remove existing oil/water interceptors. Thoroughly clean pits. Apply fiberglass reinforced epoxy coating system after all other pit work has been completed. Install waste water transfer pumps and electrical controls. Install waste water piping from the oil/water separator unit to building sanitary sewer line in the existing utility pit. Install pumped used oil piping from the oil/water separator to the existing building used oil disposal sink drain. Test all piping for leaks and test all systems for proper operation. Provide seismic zone 3 protection and bracing for separators, pumps, control panels, and piping. Responders are advised that the requirements may be delayed, cancelled, or revised at any time during the solicitation, selection, evaluation, negotiation, and/or final award process based on decisions related to DOD changes and disposition of the Armed Services.
