Z -- UPGRADE ELEVATORS VAECC SOL RFP 527-31-96 DUE 082696 POC Laralee Horowitz, Contracting Officer Provide all necessary labor and materials to upgrade Elevators P4, P5, P6 and P7 as required per the specifications at the VAECC, 179th St. & Linden Blvd., St. Albans, N.Y. Work includes replacing all elevator components with the new as specified for Elevators P4 to P7. The new compnents include but not limited to: microprocessor control system, silicone rectifying power units, door operators, hoistwag doors, car doors, car leveling devices. The contractor shall retain overhead gearless traction machines, deflector sheaves, machine beams, main and counterweight rails, buffers, counterweights, govrnors, governor ropes, fascia plates, toe guards and car safety devices. All work shall be in full compliance with the ANSI Code and specifications. Construction cost extimate is between $250,000 to $500,000. Standard Industrial Classification Code is 1796, Installation or Erection of Building Equipment, N.E.C. Completion time is 400 calendar days. This procurement is not a small business set-aside.
