The Naval Sea Systems Command will issue RFP N00024-96-R-4226 to Sperry Marine, Inc., 1070 Seminole Trial, Charlottesville, VA 22901-2891 to procure the following items: Four (4) systems of Ring Laser Gyro Navigators (RLGN)(AN/WSN-7)(Configuration B-1) and four thousand (4,000) manhours of Contractor Technical/Test Program Support. The procurement of the four (4) systems of RLGN represents an acceleration from the planned full rate production (FRP) to the Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) under the existing contract N00024-95-C-4095 with Sperry Marine. As the sole manufacturer of AN/WSN-7 RLGNs, Sperry is the only company with the requisite knowledge and experience necessary to supply the required systems and services within the timeframe required.
