52SBNB6C9208 DUE 082996 POC Marsha Rodgers (301) 975-6398 The National
Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement for a
Precision Air-Bearing Servo-Controlled Rotary Table. The table shall
have a drive interface to a Leitz PMM 866 coordinate measuring machine
(CCM), capable of horizontal or vertical operation, with a faceplate
diameter of approximately 400 mm, and a height from base to top of
faceplate no greater than 196.8 mm. The thrust load capacity at least
1136 kg shall be maintained with a minimum stiffness of 125
kg/micrometer. For horizontal operation, the radial motion at 25.4 mm
above the faceplate shall be less than 0.025 micrometers and the radial
motion at 305 mm above the faceplate shall be less than 0.05
micrometers. For vertical operation, the radial at 25.4 mm above the
faceplate shall be less than 0.05 micrometers and the radial motion at
305 mm above the faceplate shall be less than 0.075 micrometers. All
certifications of specifications shall be traceable to NIST.--F.O.B.
