(Site Code DACA05) THe purpose of the work specified herein is to determine the density and characteristics of the materials comprising the upstream and downstream embankments and the foundation of the Terminus Dam at Lake Kaweah, CA. The work will be undertaken in six phases: 1) constructing ingress/egress ramps and drilling benches; 2) drilling and penetration testing on the upstream drilling bench; 3) drilling and penetration testing on the downstream drilling bench; 4) drilling and installing PVC pipe for geophysical testing; 5) drilling and penetration testing at the downstream toe of the dam; and 6) excavating test pits at the downstream toe of the dam. This procurement will be conducted under SIC code:8999. The size standard for this SIC code is: $3.5 million. The award of this project is subject to availability of funds for FY-96 projects. Plans and specifications for this project must be ordered by the CUT OFF DATE of 01 AUG 96 to ensure receipt of bid sets. Orders received beyond the DUE DATE will not be honored. There is NO CHARGE for the specifications or drawings; however, only one set is available per offeror for there are only a limited number available.
