NETHERLANDS: LEMONADE CONCENTRATES (SYRUP) The following notification is being circulated in accordance with Article 10.6. G/TBT/Notif. 96.177. 1. Member to Agreement notifying: Netherlands. Title, number of pages and language(s) of the notified document: First Amendment to the Implementation Order on Quality Requirements Relating to Lemonade Concentrates (Syrup), (2 pages). 6. Description of content: The Amendment of the Implementation Order is targeted at enabling the combination of both sugars and artificial sweeteners in lemonade concentrates (syrup) without this being subject to the requirement for a fixed minimum percentage of sugar. The opportunity is taken to make individual definitions in the existing Implementation Regulation more specific. It is perhaps superfluous to point out that this Order relates solely to concentrates manufactured in the Netherlands and not, therefore, to imported products. 7. Objective and rationale: The present Amendment is deemed necessary in order to be able to contend with the competition from abroad in the field of the manufacture of concentrates with a reduced energy value, the so-called ``light concentrates''. 8.
