R -- DATA COLLECTION - THREATENED, ENDANGERED AND SENSITIVE SPECIES SOL WO-96-10 DUE 082696 POC Kelly Duffner (703) 235-1691 The USDA Forest Service intends to enter into a procurement for paper copy lists, maps, data tables and computer software that will provide a link to the Forest Service and the Nature Conservancy database. This information will be provided by The Nature Conservancy in the required detail, format and accuracy using the Natural Heritage Network databases. This information is managed using the Biological and Conservation Data System (BCD) which facilitates collection, distribution, and exchange of biological information using standard methods for global, national, and regional data. The network of cooperators will be used to provide the Forest Service with information on locations and status ranks of threatened, endangered and sensitive species necessary to manage national forest system lands in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
