The project consists of the rehabilitation of Gordon Lawrence Road, the Natchez Trace Parkway south of the Route 96 Access Ramp intersection, and the following parking areas: Carroll Cemetery, Poge Hollow, Totty Lane, Fly, and Jackson Falls; and includes drainage, placement of base, paving, and other work. Principal items of work and approximate quantities are as follows: Clearing and Grubbing, 5 ACRE; Embankment Construction, 9,000 CUYD; Roadway Obliteration, 2,000 SQYD, Aggregate Base, 6 and 8-inch depths, 12,000 SQYD; Hot Asphalt Concrete Pavement, 800 TONS; Furnishing and Placing Topsoil, 4-inch depth, 5,000 SQYD; Pipe Culverts, 24 and 36-inch, 400 LNFT; PCC Sidewalk, 500 SQYD; Stone Slope Paving, 370 SQYD; Various Trees, 70 EACH. The project is expected to fall within the price range of $500,000 to $1,000,000 and has a construction completion date of June 15, 1997.
