McCarthy at (612) 290-5409 Work consists of, but is not limited to, furnishing all plant, labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the raise and extension of the Creel Bay Levee at the City of Devils Lake Creel Bay Pump Station. This includes embankment work along approximately 15,000 feet of levee including inspection trenches, aggregate base and surface course, riprap, topsoil, and seeding. Other work includes mechanical modifications to the Creel Bay Pump Station including gate valves, pump discharge piping, and installing government furnished pumps. All work is to be performed in strict accordance with the plans and specification. This procurement is issued unrestricted under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program (Public Law 100-656.) SIC Code - 1629; Small Business Size Standard is $17 million. The Corps of Engineers is committed to substantive participation of small disadvantaged (SDB) and women- owned enterprises in the performance of this contract. If you are a large business and your bid will exceed $1,000,000.00 you will be required to submit a subcontracting plan. For this contract, the following goals expressed are informational only and not legally binding. The goals in terms of percentages of total planned subcontracting dollars are: Small Business - 52.5%, Small Disadvantaged Business - 8.00%, Women-Owned Small Business - 3.0% and Subcontracting Reporting (SF294 & SF295) - 100.0%. The estimated magnitude of construction in terms of physical characteristics and estimated price range is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00 Plans and specifications are expected to be available approximately July 30, 1996, with bid opening occurring on or about August 29, 1996.
