DESCRIPTION OF WORK--The work includes PART A: Sitework, concrete, masonry, structural steel, insulation, metal decking, membrane roofing, preformed metal siding and roofing, doors and windows, lathing and plastering, gypsum dry wall, tile, carpet, acoustical ceilings, toilet partitions, elevator, plumbing, mechanical and electrical work for various facilities that are to be constructed. PART B: Construction of a police station, site preparation, landscaping and incidental related work complete and ready for use.--The estimated cost is between $25 million to $100 million.--Firm Fixed Price Contract.--Contract duration is 480 calendar days.--Bids will be considered from all responsible sources.--This project is unrestricted.--The Standard Industrial Code is 1542 and the annual size standard is $17 million.--It is recommended the subcontracting plan goals reflect a minimum goal of 7% for Small Disadvantaged Business and 25% for Small Business subcontracting effort.--NOTE: Plans and specs will not be mailed to firms within a 20 mile radius of the issuing office.
