SKIPPER, (912) 767-1868 (Site Code DAKF10) The Army requires a contract to Revitalize 6 Modular Enlisted Men's Barracks, Ft. Stewart, GA. The work includes, but is not necessarily restricted to: (1) Revitilization renovations to each module, which includes a stairwell, 3 floors in height, with 4 living unit rooms per floor, for a total of 12 living unit rooms per stairwell. (2) Convert existing common area (living room) into breezeway renovation, each floor. (3) Construct new walls of steel studs with gypsum board materials prefinished and/or painted and/or finish with wall covering. (4) Install kitchenettes with wood cabinets, bar sink with faucets and trim, storage cabinets (prefinished) and a microwave/refrigerator unit (Government furnished, Contractor Installed). (5) Remove and replace plumbing fixtures (tub with shower unit and sliding door tub enclosure, wall hung lavatory,flush valve commodes (WC) with open front white seat). (6) Remove and replace lighting and power requirements. (7) Remove and replace floor and wall finish in bathrooms. (8) Remove floor covering in living unit and replace as schedule in finished schedule. (9) Install new wall finish in living unit and paint as scheduled. (10) Install new doors and/or frames. Performance shall be completed within 360 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. All responsible business concerns may submit a bid which will be considered. The Standard Industrial Classification Coade for this project is 1522. Anticipated award is September 30, 1996.
