Whalen The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania plans on issuing a solicitation package, Project #693-96-130 Female Bathroom Alterations o/a 8/6/96. Contractor shall undertake and in full compliance with plans and specifications, all work related to said project. Work shall include establishing new bathroom facilities in existing patient bedrooms at various locations throughout the Medical Center to accommodate Veteran female patients. Construction shall include, but not limited to, metal stud and gypsum board partitions, plumbing, plumbing fixtures, electrical, relocating emergency pull switches, lighting and final finishes. Work shall be strictly coordinated with the VA and not more than two areas shall be given to contractor at any one time. All applicable codes and regulations shall apply. For clarification purposes, as built drawings are available for contractor's review in the engineering office. When suspected material containing asbestos is encountered, contractor shall notify the Va Project Manager immediately. Contractor shall then expose enough of the surrounding area to enable others to abate and clear area of the asbestos material. SIC Code 1542. Government Cost Range: $100,000 - $250,000.
