notification is being circulated in accordance with Article 10.6.

Certain categories of motor vehicles for the installation of safety
seat belts are listed: taxis, private passenger cars, pick-ups, motor
vehicles used for the carriage of passengers having not more than 15
seats (except those having wheel disc not more than 12 inches and not
more than nine seats) and motor vehicles used for the carriage of goods
whose vehicle weight not exceeding 1,660 kg. There are two types of
safety seat belts: lap belt, and a combined lap and shoulder belt. The
Regulation enforced the vehicle which is registered since 1 January
1996, for vehicles registered before 1 January 1996 it will be enforced
on 6 October 1997. 7. Objective and rationale: Protection of human

under the provision of the Motor Vehicle Act B.E. 2522 (1979). -
Ministerial Regulation No. 49 issued under the provision of the Land
