notification is being circulated in accordance with Article 10.6.

applicable): Light duty diesel engined vehicles (HS Chapter 8703). 5.
Title, number of pages and language(s) of the notified document: TIS
1370-2539 (1996): Standard for Light-Duty Diesel Engined Vehicles:
Safety Requirements; Emission from Engine, Level 3. 6. Description of
content: Specifies Level 3 as limits for gaseous pollutants (i.e.
carbon monoxides, hydrocarbon combined with oxides of nitrogen) emitted
from light-duty diesel engined vehicles). Applies to passenger cars
with not more than nine seats, passenger cars modified from trucks with
gross mass not exceeding 3,500 kg. (seats unlimited) and trucks with
gross mass not exceeding 3,500 kg. For passenger cars with more than
six seats, passenger cars modified from trucks, or passenger cars with
gross mass exceeding 2,500 kg. and small trucks, the gaseous
pollutants shall equal the limit of gaseous pollutants emitted from
passenger cars with not more than six seats. Includes marking,
labelling, sampling and criteria for conformity, testing. 7. Objective
