Z -- PRESOLICITATION NOTICE: MAINTAIN/REPAIR/ALTER BASE SUPPLY BUILDING 312 AND WIDEN ALPHA STREET SOL Projects JLSS 94-0012 A/B/C and JLSS 94-0044 DUE 092596. The projects are companion projects with a common set of drawings and specifications. Work includes but is not limited to painting interior walls, trim, doors and frames. Replacing interior wallboard, insulation, doors, frames, interior signage, ceiling insulation, floor finishes, exterior stairs & handrails and sidewalk. Asbestos abatement of floor tile, wallboard and flues. Replace electric branch circuits, panelboards, switches, receptacles, light fixtures, power wiring to HVAC equipment and fire detection system. Replace HVAC system and fire suppression system. Install new brick veneer. Construct masonry dumpster w/footings & gates. Replace existing bituminous pavement and subbase. Provide fill and grade subgrade to alter elevations. Install underdrain & new concrete curb. Replace stairs & handrails, signs and pavement markings. Perform all work under a single lump sum firm fixed-price contract. All work shall be accomplished in strict accordance with the contract documents. Solicitation package will be available o/a 25 August 1996. The performance period is 135 calendar days for Project JLSS 94-0012, M/R/A Base Supply Building 312 and 75 calendar days for Project JLSS 94-0044, Widen Alpha Street. This solicitation will be issued under full and open competition. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered. A nonrefundable charge of $23 will be required to obtain this solicitation. Checks should be made payable to DAO/DE, Dobbins ARB. The estimated cost ranges between $500,000 and $1,000,000. (190)
