The government intends to make an award for the repair/ painting of a 200,000 gallon water tank, at Cape Cod AFS, Sagamore Ma. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the work. The project will also include lead based paint abatement and disposal. The tank serves a critical facility which requires special security access and 24 hour a day operations. The repairs, removal of the existing paint, and application of new paint for the exterior of the water storage tank shall be complete, prior to renovation of the interior of the tank. Lead Based paint abatement and disposal is to be removed according to the Contract Documents. Work will consist of removal of coatings from inside and outside surfaces of the tank structure and from all attached appurtenances such as ladders and piping. The inside of the tank structure is classified as a Permit Required Confined Space. The magnitude of this project is between $25000.00 and $100,000.00. This is a firm fixed price contract. The specifications and drawings will be included in the Invitation for Bid F19650-96-B0011. Performance period will be 120 days.
