The Flathead National Forest will be advertising an Invitation for Bids for Whitefish Divide Trail No. 26, Phase IV, Glacier View Ranger District, Flathead and Lincoln Counties, Montana. Work consists of 5.5 miles of trail construction and reconstruction work including clearing and grubbing, tread construction/reconstruction, drainage dips, waterbars, switchbacks, rock cairns, and check dams. Some rock blasting may be required. Issue date, August 5, 1996. The Notice to Proceed will be issued approximately July 1, 1997, with a completion date of August 1, 1998.
