Newport, RI intends to procure a Console Mounted Crane and Lifting
System, 1 each. CRANE SPECIFICATIONS: The crane and lifting system with
anti- corrosion coating will be installed by the contractor on a fresh
water moored Barge located on Seneka Lake, NY; Operation - Hydraulic
w/ reservoirs, pump hoses and all ancillary parts provided. Hydraulic
system to be winterized 3 phase operation with power pack; Lifting Rate
- Minimum 20,000 pounds at vertical height of 20 feet and radius of 15
feet; Weight - Total weight with console controls/power packs, etc.
not to exceed 27,000 pounds. The 27,000 pound maximum refers to total
crane weight; Controls - Weather protected control console with seated
controls in operator cabin, full operator 360 degree non-continuous
rotation with stops, no swivel and with crane boom. The operator cabin
shall rotate with the horizontal boom movement; Reach Distances -
Minimum of 80 feet; 4 section telescoping boom. First section of boom
must be less than 36 feet; Speed - 30 FPM or greater with multiple line
for 20,000 pounds or greater capacity; Other Specifications - Anti-two
block feature; 9/16, 6x25, IWRC cable/300 ft length. Crane must have
block with swivel safety hook; Capacity alarm system or load minimum
indicator; Boom length indicator; Crane must be fully operational at 0
degrees Fahrenheit; Height of pedestal required: 6 feet maximum - 3
feet minimum; Loads are static; Installation - Contractor shall provide
a flat plate on which crane will be installed. The crane shall be
installed by bolting or welding the crane on the installed plate. Once
the contractor installs the crane, the contractor shall do the first
lift with a contractor provided accredited inspector, using a
Government provided calibrated weight/load. The contractor shall be
responsible for ensuring that the crane pass this certification and the
accredited inspector sign the applicable inspection and certification
forms. Delivery will be FOB destination within 60 days after award of
contract to Naval Undersea Warfare Center Detachment Seneca Lake,
Dresden, NY. A Firm Fixed Price Contract is anticipated. This
procurement is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. Applicable SIC Code is
3625. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be
considered. Requests must be in writing specifying solicitation number.
